The major highway projects in Belize have been funded by the World Bank, InterAmerican Development Bank, Caribbean Development Bank, International Cooperation and Development Fund - Taiwan, and the European Union. Projects have been supervised by international consulting firms such as Halcrow International, Beca International, Roughton International, Ingeroute and WSP International.
